- July 30, 2025. We recently released Telelogs, a benchmark for Large Language Models in telecom logs analysis, by collaborating with the Netop Team in Huawei Paris Research Center. The paper “Reasoning Language Models for Root Cause Analysis in 5G Wireless Networks” that introduces this dataset and our research work on 5G network RCA is available in arxiv.
- September 20, 2024. Our paper about LLM hallucination detection has been accepted by EMNLP 2024 Main.
- February 5, 2024. It is my great honor to be on the Huaweier’s Story of the Year.
- October 30, 2023. Our AI product “AskO3” was released together with the O3 Community at Huawei Connect 2023 in Shanghai, China.
- October 8, 2023. Two papers have been accepted to the Findings of EMNLP 2023.
- June 1, 2021. Our Python library shrike that aids compliant experiments in the Azure Machine Learning Platform was released in github.
- May 27, 2021. My paper “Unified Principal Component Analysis for Sparse and Dense Functional Data under Spatial Dependency” was published in Journal of Business & Economic Statistics.
- December 6, 2020. The Python library FLAML for fast and lightweight automated machine learning tookit has been released to public on PyPI.
- April 15, 2020. Our paper “Modeling and Regionalization of China’s PM2.5 Using Spatial-Functional Mixture Model” was accepted by Journal of American Statistical Association.
- December 8-14, 2019. I attended NeurIPS 2019 in Vancouver, Canada.
- October 21-25, 2019. I visited Microsoft New England Research and Development Center in Boston, and attended Harvard Data Science Initiative Conference.
- June 15, 2019. I participated in the ACM-IMS Interdisciplinary Summit on the Foundations of Data Science in San Francisco, CA.
- May 30, 2019. I gave an e-poster on “Estimating Plant Growth Curves and Derivatives by Modeling Crowdsourced Imaged-based Data” at the 2019 Symposium on Data Science and Statistics in Bellevue, WA.
- February 12, 2019. Our paper titled “Random Forest Prediction Intervals” has been accepted by The American Statistician. Its R package rfinterval is avaialbe on CRAN.
- Our research work about Constructing a Graph from User Implicit Feedback has been accepted by the SIAM Conference on Computational Science and Engineering (CSE19).
- January 10, 2019. I gave a 30-min talk at Facebook Headquarter in Menlo Park, CA.
- December 24, 2018. Our paper titled “Optimal Designs for Genomic Prediction in Hybrid Crops” was accepted by Molecular Plant.
- December 13, 2018. I gave a presentation in Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH.
- December 5-8, 2018. I visited School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Melbourne and gave a talk on spatially dependent functional data.
- 2018 - 2019. I serve on the International Student Advisory Board, Iowa State University.
- July 28 - August 2, 2018. I attended and gave an oral talk at the Joint Statistical Meetings in Vancouver, Canada.
- May 21, 2018. I started to work as a data scientist intern at eBay advertising for the next three months.
- May 16, 2018. I received the SAMSI Travel Award for presenting at the Symposium on Data Science and Statistics in Reston, Virginia.
- May 7, 2018. I presented a poster at the Conference on Predictive Inference and Its Applications in Ames, IA.
- April 21 - April 28, 2018. I visited the Department of Statistics at University of California, Riverside.
